Nigerians are in a joyful mood as they couldn’t contain their delightedness of seeing two of the country’s promising artists, Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, and Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems by her stage name, were freed after several days of being arrested and detained in Uganda.
The chairman for the Nigerians in Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa announced via her Twitter page that both artists have returned to Nigeria and landed at the Muritala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
Both artists were arrested, they were accused by the Ugandan government of organizing a concert during the pandemic, which as a result of this made both artists face a jail sentence of 10years.
We also reported earlier that Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede, also contributed her opinion about the arrest of the duo amidst other reactions from notable Nigerian celebrities.
Abike Dabiri further stated that both artists landed in Lagos at about 12.35 pm on Thursday via Ethiopia Airline.
