Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede, has weighed in on the arrest of two of Nigeria’s promising artists, Omah lay and Tems.
The arrest of these artists in Uganda, has caused a stir on social media as Nigerians condemned the arrest, which they termed unnecessary and uncivilized.
Both artists went for a show in Uganda, they were later arested, detained for more than 24hours, charged to court, as they were accused of holding a concert during a pandemic in the country.
Though both artists were been freed yesterday, Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has contributed her own quota about the believe of Ugandans.
The prominent actress said, she was in Uganda for a movie shoot in 2013, and it was being said to her many times by Ugandans, that Nigerians are proud even after she proclaimed that she doesn’t know any Ugandan artist.
Yvonne Jegede further unwrapped in her message, which was published on her Twitter account, that she’s proud of being a Nigerian, and Ugandans should deal with their self esteem and not include Nigerians..
